PWG Networking Luncheon | Wyndam Raleigh NC

Sunday, January 31, 2010

Perfect Wedding Guide: PWG - Raleigh - Greensboro, NC
Venue: Wyndam/Raleigh/Durham/RTP - Raleigh, NC
Cake: Traveling Cake Plate - Durham, NC
Spotlight Vendor: Pampered Chef NC
Florist: Flowers By Gary - Durham, NC
Linens: A Special Event - Fuquay Varina, NC

It was delightful to attend our first PWG Luncheon in Raleigh this past week. Gail Galloway of PWG does a remarkable job of bringing many vendors in one place to learn about about each others businesses. This month the luncheon was held at the Wyndam Hotel in the Raleigh/Durham/RTP area. Their presentation of the food was remarkable, as each plate in its own was a masterpiece. The food was delicious but just when you thought you couldn't take one more bite, The Traveling Cake brought some scrumptious cake which was hard to resist.

Each of the tables were wonderfully decorated with linens from A Special Event and then top off with a gorgeous flower centerpiece by Flowers by Gary of Durham. One centerpiece filled with delicate pink and white roses was given to one lucky person to enjoy at the drawing held at the end of the event. I met quite a few new friends and am looking forward to meeting up with several for coffee over the next few weeks.

So are you a bride? Check out PWG for more information on their upcoming Bridal Shows. If you are a wedding professional check out PWG for more information on their networking, advertising and shows.

Enjoy the photographs and please feel free to leave a comment or two. Ciao!

Katie - Whitsett, NC

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

One of the things I love most about being a photographer are the people I get to meet, the lives I touch through my photography and the friendship that are made. I meet Katie - when she was planning her wedding to Jeremy. Since then we have photographed her bridal, engagement and wedding. Along the way we built a friendship that is amazing. I enjoy getting together with Katie at our favorite place for lunch Olive Garden. She is intelligent, fun, sensitive and has a strong belief in her faith. Recently I asked Katie if she would like to get together and do some fun photographs. She was excited about doing the photographs and asked if I would kindly do them at her family's home. It was a super fun fall day - and Katie, as always was a blast. Thanks Katie for being my friend, waiting patiently for the photographs and most importantly always being you! You can catch all of Katie's photographs on our Facebook page.

Marketing in a Difficult Economy - Doug Stevenson

Thursday, January 21, 2010

Matt and I are always looking to improve ourselves and our business. To take everything to the next level. Recently Doug Stevenson of Abundance Business Solutions held a seminar at the ACC Small Business Center for "Marketing in a Difficult Economy". Matthew and I attended this great three hour seminar in which Doug taught different ways to market your business. Doug is a fantastic speaker, if you are looking for someone who will tell you the way it is and how to move your business to the next level - Doug is that person. You can check out his website here Abundance to see all of his current speaking engagements. Thanks to Matthew for photographing all of these pictures so I could enjoy the seminar. I walked away with many different ideas of how to market my business and improve my client relationships. Here are a few photos from the day and please feel free to leave a comment or ask a question!

Starting of the seminar with lots of energy.

Duke Gardens Wedding - Emily and Matt

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

It was amazing. The clouds had threaten to storm all day. Emily wanted to have her wedding at the Gazebo in Duke Gardens. She believed and had faith. The wedding had begun - and just when Emily was to make her entrance with her parents - the sun poked through the skies and lit up the Gardens. Melanie from Kate Foster Productions and I just looked at each other for a brief moment and smiled. It was one of the most magically moments of the year. Emily and Matt thank you for letting us be a part of your day and for lettings us get to know all of your wonderful family and friends. Greensboro Wedding Photographer

One of the other special moments was when Emily Grandfather danced with her. You can see in her face the pure joy and love she has for her Grandfather.
