Ryan & Hannah | Duke Gardens

Thursday, May 21, 2015

The moment you fall in love with someone is a moment you will never forget. Hannah has the most giving and caring heart. She loves and cares for fosters dogs. When she received two puppies and their mother from South Carolina to foster, the puppies were very sick, and she was doing everything she could to nurse them back to health. Ryan and Hannah were only dating for a short time when one of the puppies became extremely ill and had to be put down. Hannah called Ryan to cancel their date and explained what was happening. So while Hannah was at the vet's office, Ryan showed up to be with her. It was so sweet to see the love that they have for each other, that is what true love is, isn't? Being there for someone no matter what? Just a week after that, Ryan went on to adopt the other puppy. Her name is Qubit aka "Q" and he promised to love her and keep her safe. (She even came out for the pictures, can you guess which one she is??) For Hannah, that is when she knew that she would love Ryan forever. So when doing their engagement session we went to one of their favorite places, Duke Gardens. Armed with loads of squeaky toys, dog treats, lots of laughter and two fantastic friends, Bekah and Nancy, we were able to get some fabulous photographs throughout the gardens.

So who is Q? The dogs in order are Emma, Qubit "Q" and Freya.

Sara and I cannot wait to photograph your gorgeous wedding in September at the Garden of Gray Gables!

Sean + Ryan | St. Leo's Church & O.Henry Hotel

Thursday, May 14, 2015

We have seen that love will always find a way to bring two people, who are meant to be together, together. Just look at Ryan and Sean!  They connected instantly even with living in two completely different states. Ryan and Sean meet after they both attended the same college in New York. Then not long after graduation, Sean got accepted into a law school in North Carolina! Cheesy enough to say, the rest is history!

ST. Leo's Catholic Church (Winston Salem) is a very precious church to Ryan. She has attended St. Leo's since she was a little girl. It held so much meaning to her, her closest friends, and family. It was there that family and friends, from around the country, gathered to see the couple say I do! The architecture at St. Leo's is just breathtaking! What would make the ceremony even more sentimental?! Having it preformed by Ryan's teacher and mentor, Father Mark!

Of course you can't end there, the O.Henry Hotel was the perfect venue to hold their reception! Especially with a live band leading the way! Sean’s brother had us laughing through his toast and Ryan’s father had us in tears during their Father/Daughter dance. The rest of the night held dancing and talking with dear friends! It was filled with those they love, lots of laughter, smiles and a few tears.

Just the way a wedding should be.

Her Dream Team:
Church: ST. Leo's Catholic Church
Venue: O.Henry Hotel
Cake: Dewy's Bakery
Band: Emerald Empire Band
Florist: Amy Lynne Originals

Congratulations, Ryan & Sean! Sara and I thank you so much for letting us capture your stunning day! We hope that you two had a blast in Cancun, I know that we were a little (okay, a lot) jealous! ;)
