Beautiful Changes | Michelle Robinson Photography

Wednesday, April 22, 2015

There have been quite a few changes going on behind the scenes here at MRP, starting with our newly designed Blog!! We are so thrilled to have this chance to freshen it and continue to post more! Sara and I's favorite part is now having our very own Pin it button, so if your into Pinterest (like Sara) go ahead and pin away!

Besides the new blog look we also have a new Bridal Show Booth. It has taken some sweat, a few tears, but most it has been a labor of love. It really began about 6 months ago with ideas Sara and I had when we were on the plane ride back from the Wedding MBA Convention in Vegas last year.  We wanted a booth that reflected our work - that was whimsical, romantic and well us! We love our backdrop that is made from satin ribbon in our colors of blue, white, and grey. We are delighted about our sign and we worked closely with PV Communication who help create our vision! Besides adding new photographs, new albums, vintage cameras that I have collected through the years, cute little succulent plants (Etsy), twinkly lights (Amazon), as well as some crates (WalMart - we sprayed in our color of gray), and a chalk board window panel (Hobby Lobby) that created some great charm! Whew, that was a mouth full! In the end, the booth looks amazing and we are so proud of how it came together. Here are just a few snaps from our last Bridal Show!

A HUGE thanks to those who helped us, listen to our cries, and cheered with us as we completed this long project!

Castle McCulloch Bridal Show

Thursday, March 22, 2012

Castle McCulloch bridal show was this past Tuesday and Matthew and I thought we change our booth up a bit with a little bit of a retro theme. We used some of our favorite black and white canvas's and some neat little things to add some character to the booth. Alamance Party Rentals helped us out with our table linens as well as the beautiful glass candle holders we used. It was a great show and we enjoyed meeting alot of new brides. Here are a few of the images.

Castle McCulloch Bridal Show - Jamestown

Sunday, March 28, 2010

We had a great show this past week at the Castle McCulloch Bridal Show. Matthew did an outstanding job on our booth that was in the Crystal Gardens. It was great to see some of our friends at the show and the evening went by extremely fast. We had to meet close to 75 - 100 brides - as by the end of the night, I could no longer talk. Needless to say that was a treat for my family! :)

Forever Bridal Show - Durham Hilton

Bridal Show: Forever Bridal Show
Canvas's: Simply Canvas
Flowers: Gallery Florist and Gifts

We made our first appearance at the Forever Bridal Show in Durham this past Sunday. What a wonderful show to participate in. The brides were amazing, friendly and fun to talk with. The show was a little smaller than Forever Bridal's larger shows and we were grateful as we got to spend some quality time with the brides that visited our booth.

Our booth was built by my husband Joe and my son Matt. They decided to make something rich, warm and inviting. Using a bit of my Italian heritage - they come up with the following:

These columns were refurbished by Matt - which took over four hours of preparation. Then Joe and Matt created a special top rail piece to content the two columns together. There we were able to create some spectacular way of hanging our images. Matt also made the backdrop that hangs behind all of the prints. It took him over 8 hours of pinning, two hours of sewing and yards upon yards of fabric to make. We hung some beautiful canvas's which included - two 16x20's, two 20x30's and three 20x24's. We were amazed at the fantastic quality of our canvas maker: Simply Canvas. They simply made us look fantastic! We also had many albums our for display among some beautiful rose petals from Gallery Florist and Gifts, Inc. From our custom designed Guest books, Coffee table books and our signature leather albums. It took over 3 months of preparation to prepare for everything we wanted to do for this show. Matt spent the day Saturday, while I was photographing a wedding, with Joe, prepping the booth for Sunday.

We also offered a drawing for a free engagement session, we were thrilled on how many brides entered.

So who won? Check your email!

Our next with Forever Bridal show is in January 2 & 3rd. For more information on the show - you can contact them with the link above. Expect to see a few changes to our booth, but we would love it if you can mark your calendars and see us there!

Until next time.....
Ciao Bella!
