Happy Holidays....

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

Wishing everyone a very joyous and happy holiday. Take some time to spend it with those that you love. Let them know how much you love them, and how thankful you are to have them in your lives! Five years ago today I lost my father. I remember my last words to him, we both with laughing and I said "I love you Dad", he said "I love you to kid". Those words bring me so much comfort. I am going to leave you with a few photographs that make me smile. One is my black lab Jake, he such a character. The second one is of Sweetpea. We gave her to my dad after my mom passed away to give him some comfort, now she comforts me. I wish you all Love, Joy, Laughter and Peace!

Rosetta & Thanh at Tuscany Gardens

Monday, August 4, 2008

Since we are on sneak peaks, here are a few from Rosetta and Thanh's! They had a beautiful wedding ceremony and the reception was held at Tuscany Gardens which was just off the hook. Rosetta changed dresses twice during the reception and just wait to see what beautiful gowns she had on! Thanks Rosetta for the beautiful email you sent to me. You made my day!

Maria & Daniel at the O'Henry Hotel

I can't wait to finish Maria and Daniel's photographs to show you their wedding slideshow. They have a love for laughter, fun and Harry Potter. So here are just a few pictures and then I promise to post more soon so you can see because they are just so unbelievable! Thanks Maria for the wonderful text you sent me! It was so sweet of you.

Durham Art Council

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Luke & Elisabeth were married at Becker Farms in Mebane. It was such a beautiful rustic place to be married. Elisabeth's breath was literally taken away when she stepped in her wedding gown. It was unbelievable the emotion that was felt at that moment. Luke and Elisabeth walked down the aisle without shoes. "Take off our sandals, for the place we are standing on is holy ground." A quote from their program. Their reception was held at the Durham Art Council. The groomsmen decorated the car, with what seemed to be a ton of post it notes. While we were blessed with the rain holding off for the ceremony - and most of the day - Elisabeth and Luke wanted a photograph at the old well at UNC Chapel Hill were they just recently graduated from. We were able to grab a quick photograph in the rain!

Sweet 16 Sara

Friday, July 11, 2008

Sweet 16! Sara is just an amazing daughter, words could never begin to describe how blessed I am to be her mother. She truly cares about other people and is always so giving. One of my favorite gifts from Sara is a memory jar she made for me at Christmas. Inside of it she wrote her favorite memories with me! One was “when we laugh together”. Last night three of her friends slept over and had so much fun. It was joyful to hear all of them laughing as they did each others makeup. She has some amazing friends. Today she will have more of her friends over to celebrate her big day. We have a special cake for her as well as some great food and of course Chocolate! Sara asked me to take photographs of her, create a special Sweet 16 guest book that her friends can sign today at her party. Here are just a few of those photographs of my Sunshine. Sara you are so awesome and I love you. Happy Sweet 16!

Mike and Aimee's big day is this Saturday. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to be a part of their day. This couple is just so sweet. So I wanted to share with you some of the photographs I recently took for them at their engagement session in Greensboro.

See you both tomorrow!

Bicentennial Gardens

Sunday, June 1, 2008

Rachel and Chad are two amazing people, with extremely busy lives! Recently I had the pleasure of photographing them at Bicentennial Gardens in Greensboro. I love the way Chad would look at Rachel throughout the time we were photographing. Or the gentle way the would each tease each other. Rachel has such a great sense of humor, I just love her emails, they so make me smile! Chad is currently attending Eastern Virginia Medical School. Chad intends to get his residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (thanks Chad – I could never spell that!). Rachel graduated from NC State with a biological sciences degree and is currently working on getting into Physician Assistant school at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Once Rachel gets accepted into the PA program – there is a good chance that these two will graduate together on the same day.... Mr & Mrs Graduate. Now that is neat!

Caught in the Act

Castle McCulloch Hillside Terrace Wedding

Friday, May 23, 2008

Jason and Laura's wedding was just unbelievable. It started with a perfect day for them, blue skies, warm weather and sunshine. Their ceremony was held outside at the Hillside Terrace and the reception was in the Crystal Gardens at Castle McCulloch We just love Jason and Laura. They were so much fun to photograph - always willing to try something new and always teasing & joking around with each other. Laura and I will be doing "trash the dress" later this year and I just can't wait! Thank you Jason and Laura for allowing us to be a part of your day, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
