Ryan's Bridal Session + O'henry Hotel

Thursday, April 30, 2015

Sara and I had so much fun photographing Sean and Ryan's Wedding this past weekend! So much so we can't believe it is already over! While they are soaking in some sunshine rays in Cancun (SO jealous!), we can share Ryan's Bridal Session that was photographed at the O'Henry Hotel. One of my favorite parts of photographing is capturing the joy a wedding has over the whole family. When Ryan began getting dressed I was able to capture some wonderful moments between the special ladies in her life, her mother Merritt and sister Kathryn! Ryan's veil is very sentimental as the head piece was the same one that her mother wore on her wedding day. Doesn't that make you tear up?! As her mom was pinning the veil in Ryan's hair, her sister Kathryn and her shared such a cute fun moment together, which made the tears of joy turn into giggles! The O'Henry parlor has a elegant and classic look, it was the perfect place to begin, and Ryan just radiated beauty from the inside out! The classic look of the hotel, Ryan's radiance, and the most gorgeous lighting created just breathtaking photographs. These images taken in the parlor are some of Ryan's favorite images, which makes my heart swell!

Whether we photographed outside the front of the hotel, in the little garden area or on the ladder in the bar area, it was a delightful time!! A big shout out to her sister Kathryn, who helped through out the session with the dress. Ryan, thank you for such for the laughter, the smiles, and the trust you gave me to photograph your session!

Beautiful Changes | Michelle Robinson Photography

Wednesday, April 22, 2015

There have been quite a few changes going on behind the scenes here at MRP, starting with our newly designed Blog!! We are so thrilled to have this chance to freshen it and continue to post more! Sara and I's favorite part is now having our very own Pin it button, so if your into Pinterest (like Sara) go ahead and pin away!

Besides the new blog look we also have a new Bridal Show Booth. It has taken some sweat, a few tears, but most it has been a labor of love. It really began about 6 months ago with ideas Sara and I had when we were on the plane ride back from the Wedding MBA Convention in Vegas last year.  We wanted a booth that reflected our work - that was whimsical, romantic and well us! We love our backdrop that is made from satin ribbon in our colors of blue, white, and grey. We are delighted about our sign and we worked closely with PV Communication who help create our vision! Besides adding new photographs, new albums, vintage cameras that I have collected through the years, cute little succulent plants (Etsy), twinkly lights (Amazon), as well as some crates (WalMart - we sprayed in our color of gray), and a chalk board window panel (Hobby Lobby) that created some great charm! Whew, that was a mouth full! In the end, the booth looks amazing and we are so proud of how it came together. Here are just a few snaps from our last Bridal Show!

A HUGE thanks to those who helped us, listen to our cries, and cheered with us as we completed this long project!

Allen + Caitlin | Engagement Kernersville Paul J. Ciener Botancial Gardens

Friday, April 10, 2015

What better way to spend an afternoon, but with two people in love! Say hello to Caitlin and Allen! They live in Virginia, but while stopping in North Carolina to attend a dear friends wedding, they wanted to do their engagement session. The day was stunning and the location was a perfect fit! Caitlin is a horticulturist, so it is only natural that they would choose a picturesque location like the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens!  October can't get here fast enough. Caitlin and Allen desire  that the new Japanese Gardens that are being built will be done by October to have their ceremony there. How fitting for these two who met at NC State campus in a Japanese class?! To cute! These two love everything about being outdoors and they were so much fun to photograph. Allen had us laughing through the session and Caitlin just beamed when she was wrapped up in his arms.

Sara and I can't wait for October!  The beautiful weather, gorgeous colors and this fabulous couple! Enjoy!

Caitlin really loved the large succulents that the Garden had.
One of our favorites of Caitlin!
Even with a bit of a damp ground they didn't mind one final shot.. One of our favorites!
Leave some blog love for them in the comments below and happy Friday!
