Ryan's Bridal Session + O'henry Hotel

Sara and I had so much fun photographing Sean and Ryan's Wedding this past weekend! So much so we can't believe it is already over! While they are soaking in some sunshine rays in Cancun (SO jealous!), we can share Ryan's Bridal Session that was photographed at the O'Henry Hotel. One of my favorite parts of photographing is capturing the joy a wedding has over the whole family. When Ryan began getting dressed I was able to capture some wonderful moments between the special ladies in her life, her mother Merritt and sister Kathryn! Ryan's veil is very sentimental as the head piece was the same one that her mother wore on her wedding day. Doesn't that make you tear up?! As her mom was pinning the veil in Ryan's hair, her sister Kathryn and her shared such a cute fun moment together, which made the tears of joy turn into giggles! The O'Henry parlor has a elegant and classic look, it was the perfect place to begin, and Ryan just radiated beauty from the inside out! The classic look of the hotel, Ryan's radiance, and the most gorgeous lighting created just breathtaking photographs. These images taken in the parlor are some of Ryan's favorite images, which makes my heart swell! 

 

Whether we photographed outside the front of the hotel, in the little garden area or on the ladder in the bar area, it was a delightful time!! A big shout out to her sister Kathryn, who helped through out the session with the dress. Ryan, thank you for such for the laughter, the smiles, and the trust you gave me to photograph your session! 

Elizabeth's Bridal at Duke Gardens

Recently, Elizabeth her mother, Judy and I went to Duke Gardens to do Elizabeth's bridal portrait. Elizabeth had traveled along way since she now lives out in Wyoming. So we did her bridal portrait just 10 days before her wedding. We were delighted with beautiful weather for her portrait session on a very early morning. Elizabeth never complained once about the early photo shoot call, she arrived with a warm smile and a big hug. Amanda's Bridal Portrait at Childress Vineyards | Lexington

It was such a lovely afternoon and we were able to photograph Amanda in different locations at the vineyard. Some of my favorites are her down in the barrel room as well as a few the one in front of the beautiful window light streaming into her dressing room. The main entrance doors to the vineyard also made a lovely place to do some images. The doors made such a strong backdrop for Amanda to stand in front, yet the light coming in was stunning. Here are just a few of my favorites from her day!

Sara's Bridal Session - Duke Gardens

Summer and wedding season is finally here! I am sorry that I have not been posting a lot during the past few months as my daughter Sara as well as MRP photographer, got married on May 25th! We had a beautiful ceremony in our backyard of her childhood home and the day was absolutely stunning. I’m just so incredibly excited for her as she starts this journey with her new husband, Jake! It is not often that a mother can photograph her daughters bridal portrait. So needless to say I was in awe that Sara wanted me to do her photographs. We had such a lovely day with her MOH Christina over at Duke Gardens. To tell the truth, I was a bit nervous at first, after all, I wanted these to be perfect for her. We all had such a wonderful time together and I am thankful to have a beautiful daughter that shares her life experiences with me. Here are just a few of her favorites from her day! Love you Sara!
