Ryan & Hannah | Duke Gardens

Thursday, May 21, 2015

The moment you fall in love with someone is a moment you will never forget. Hannah has the most giving and caring heart. She loves and cares for fosters dogs. When she received two puppies and their mother from South Carolina to foster, the puppies were very sick, and she was doing everything she could to nurse them back to health. Ryan and Hannah were only dating for a short time when one of the puppies became extremely ill and had to be put down. Hannah called Ryan to cancel their date and explained what was happening. So while Hannah was at the vet's office, Ryan showed up to be with her. It was so sweet to see the love that they have for each other, that is what true love is, isn't? Being there for someone no matter what? Just a week after that, Ryan went on to adopt the other puppy. Her name is Qubit aka "Q" and he promised to love her and keep her safe. (She even came out for the pictures, can you guess which one she is??) For Hannah, that is when she knew that she would love Ryan forever. So when doing their engagement session we went to one of their favorite places, Duke Gardens. Armed with loads of squeaky toys, dog treats, lots of laughter and two fantastic friends, Bekah and Nancy, we were able to get some fabulous photographs throughout the gardens.

So who is Q? The dogs in order are Emma, Qubit "Q" and Freya.

Sara and I cannot wait to photograph your gorgeous wedding in September at the Garden of Gray Gables!

Romantic Duke Gardens Engagement Session | Sara and Jake

Thursday, June 20, 2013

So when does an engagement session become so close to your heart? When it's your daughter and future son-in-law's, meet Sara and Jake. It is hard to believe we are only 339 days away from Sara's big day. Lots of planning and changing are going on here at the Robinson household and through the blog I will be sharing with you many stories about the events that lead up to their wedding. When Sara asked me to photograph the session at Duke Gardens, I was honored. Sara truly wanted very romantic photographs. So together we created a storyboard of images we would do and then off to Duke Gardens the three of us were. It was a perfect evening that blessed us with beautiful light and amazing sun so we could get these gorgeous sun flare photographs. Words could never express how much I love my girl, but I know the photographs do. Sara and Jake <3
